ABOUT US
Gray & Laurie Stettinius
For 27 years, we built and renovated the dream homes of cherished clients. Our small, hands-on company prided itself on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and client-centric service. Performing custom residential construction along Richmond’s River Road and Cary Street corridors, as well as in cities and counties from Goochland to Nelson, White Stone, and Virginia Beach, we were honored by numerous awards. We were especially proud to receive recognition as Guildmaster With Distinction for eight consecutive years, from 2010 through 2017, as this designation recognizes the highest levels of customer satisfaction, measured by an independent third-party survey service, Guild Quality.
In nearly three decades of operating as Tuckahoe Creek Construction, Inc., which Gray co-founded in 1990, we saw an unmet need in the custom residential construction market. More often than not, prospective clients had either limited time, limited experience, or both, and consequently had difficulty identifying the professionals with whom they wished to partner, and getting traction in the planning process. Often, we were introduced after time and money had been wasted and frustration had set in. As we worked to help clients get things on track, we realized there was a better way to help folks sooner.
In 2017, we hung up our tools and embarked on a new chapter, inspired to leverage our experience and understanding of quality craftsmanship, best practices, and common pitfalls to launch a new consulting service, Tuckahoe Creek Construction Solutions, LLC. While we will always remember fondly our decades of partnering with fantastic clients, subcontractors, and vendors to produce many wonderful projects, we are now laser-focused on the kind of careful, well informed planning that enables projects to meet goals, budgets, and timetables with beautiful results. We are no longer limited geographically. We are thrilled that we can help clients navigate the maze of decisions and players involved in orchestrating a successful project anywhere!
